Welcome to the 2015 Season

A couple of announcements for this week:

Practices this week will be as follows:

     *Monday 3:00 pm

     *Tuesday 3:00 pm

     *Wednesday  3:00 pm

     *Thursday 3:00 pm

     *Friday 3:00 pm

     *Saturday 8:00 am

Wednesday 9/26 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Runner's Soul in Kennewick is our annual "Spike Night" in which Richland HS athletes will receive apparel at a discounted rate.  Their name can also be entered into a drawing for gift certificates to the store as well as other prizes.  Please plan on attending.

If you were not able to attend registration night, your child should have brought home a parent/athlete manual as well as a season schedule.  If you have not received one of those, please let me know.

Banquet

Reminder about the banquet tomorrow night at 6:00 pm in the RHS cafeteria.  Pizza and drinks will be provided.  Look forward to seeing you there.

State Meet

Friday afternoon at 1:45 we will be meeting in the Fran Rish parking lot to head over to the state course for a jog-through.  Any and all athletes are encouraged to come.

Lindsey races Saturday at 1:00 pm.  Awards are at 2:00 pm.

$9 for adult/students without ASB card

$7 for students with ASB card

Regional Meet

This Saturday we are hosting the state qualifying meet for Eastern Washington at Carmichael Middle School beginning at 1:00.  If there are parents who are willing to work, please e-mail me.  Your help would be needed from about 12:30 until 3:00.  Your help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

This Week

*Picture retakes will be during our Wednesday practice.  Please bring your uniform for team pictures.

*Districts will be held at Leslie Groves park on Thursday.  All athletes will have the opportunity to compete.  Schedule is as follows:

*Uniform turn in and exit interviews will be Saturday morning at 9:00 am.  Attendance is mandatory.

*We encourage any and all athletes to continue practicing with our regional and state participants throughout November 8th. 

*Our end of season banquet will be held on Thursday, November 13th beginning at 6:00 pm in the RHS Cafeteria.  Parents should have received an e-mail about preparation for the banquet.  If you have not received this information, please let me know.

Richland Invite

A big thank you to everyone who helped with the meet today.  Everyone was incredibly happy with the meet and I received nothing but positive feedback.  The weather cooperated and Lindsey Bradley is now a two time Richland Invite Champion with the 3rd fastest time ever run on our new course.  A new course record was also set on the boys side by Tanner Anderson from North Central.

Some notes for this week:

*White Pass XC Camp is now open for registration online at sunfairrun.com .  We will be attending the first week, but sign up quickly (next day or so hopefully) as spots are filling up fast.

*We will be having a re-take of our team pictures some-time in the next two weeks.  More information to come.

*We have our last league meet this Thursday at Lawrence Scott Park.  Itineraries will be handed out this Wednesday.

Richland Invite Week

Thank you to everybody who made it out to our parent meeting on Monday night.  It was greatly appreciated and made organizing things for Saturday that much better.  If you were not at the meeting but are willing to help please contact me before Saturday.  Everyone's help is needed.

Team pictures will be Friday morning at the RHS track beginning at 9:00 with a course walk-through to follow.  Athletes will be done by 11:00 am.

Friday night there is a pasta feed at the Grossarth's home located at 559 Camy Street.  More information will be handed out at practice on Saturday.

Summer Camp registration at White Pass will be online this year.  Registration will be open in the next day or two at sunfairrun.com.  We will be registering for the 1st week of camp.

Reminder that finish line crew need to report Saturday morning at 8:00 to the finish line area and everyone else needs to report by 8:30.
